Casual Bus Driver to transport school Aged Children

Weldon Children’s Services require drivers to transport school-aged children (5-12 years) from the local primary schools to/from our OSHC Service at Burwood. The safe transportation of children is a priority. Children being transported are under the supervision of our qualified bus educators (the bus driver is not required to supervise children). The role is primarily for an afternoon shift from 1.30 pm to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday during school terms.

This is a great opportunity for someone seeking to work in a role that engages with the local community, with the well-being, safety and care of school-age children being at the heart of everything we do.

About you  

To be a successful applicant it is essential YOU HAVE:

  • A warm and friendly communication style that is welcoming and respectful to children and the team.
  • A commitment to child safe practices.
  • National Police Check will be required.
  • A current NSW Bus Driver Authority would be well regarded, but not essential.
  • Previous experience driving a bus within aged care or middle childhood sector will be highly regarded but not essential.
